COVR Tips System Application

1. Prep – Perform standard nail prep: push back cuticles and buff the nail surface. Shorten and refine the free edge, removing and rounding the corners. Cleanse with Prep & Clean.

2. Tip Application – Apply UnderCOVR Base to the underside of the tip at the base (cuticle area). Position the tip at the cuticle area and apply firm pressure downward. Ensure product distributes uniformly toward the free edge without any air bubbles.

3. Cure - While maintaining firm pressure, flash cure using the touch-activated OVRHead LED Lamp for 10-30 seconds. Once all tips are anchored, fully cure the entire hand for 60 seconds.

4. Refine – Gently refine and blend the cuticle area as needed for a flush, seamless application. Buff the entire surface of the nail with the Grey Spongeboard Buffer and cleanse with Prep & Clean.

5. Finish – For best results, apply a layer of I'm A Base before your colour or top coat of choice. Cure and finish with Renew & Repair Cuticle Oil.

Optional: for extra insurance or for problem lifters, apply Super Bond and let it air dry before applying your COVR Tip.

Q: Do I need to etch or prep the tip before applying?
A: No - COVR Tips come pre-etched to save you time when applying. Simply select your tip, apply your base gel, and apply straight to the natural nail.

Q: Do I need to apply primer or base?
A: You do not need primer or base with the COVR system - the UnderCOVR Base has all the adhesion of our traditional Connect built in! However, for problematic clients or extra insurance, you can always apply Super Bond before application.

Q: Do I have to remove them and start over each time?
A: No! If your client comes back with no lifting or issues you can fill your COVR set like normal.

Q: How do I choose the right size tip?
A: Similar to traditional tips, COVR Tips should comfortably fit sidewall to sidewall, without being pressed down to fit. If you have a nail between sizes, always size up and file the cuticle are as needed for a custom fit.

Prep Matters: Pre-size all tips first for better in-service efficiency.

The In-Between Rule: Always size up when in-between sizes and lightly file down to fit. Forcing a small tip to fit can cause it to pocket lift or pop off entirely.

Flash-Cure Anchor: Use a gooseneck lamp like the OVRHead LED Lamp to "anchor" the tip with a flash cure while holding it in place, eliminating shifting before your full 60 second cure.
